Welcome to the College of Charleston Transfer Resource Center!

The Transfer Resource Center (TRC) is the College of Charleston's space for all things transfer.  If you're a prospective, admitted, or current student looking to make your credits and time at the College count, it's time to connect with the Transfer Resource Center.  Be sure to check out the many resources available to you, information about getting involved as a transfer student, and important information about transfer credits.

THE TRANSFER RESOURCE CENTER AND COVID-19 UPDATES

The Transfer Resource Center will continue to operate virtually for the fall 2020 semester.  Our virtual office hours will be Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Staff members are available for assistance through phone and email.

Recently the College Board and International Baccalaureate announced modifications to the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exam processes in response to COVID-19.  Based on recommendations by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE), the College of Charleston recognizes the efforts that students have already applied in these challenging courses and will award transfer credit by exam for 2020 AP and IB exams consistent with the previously published exam score equivalency charts on the Transfer Resource Center’s Credit by Exam webpage.

Effective 3/19/20, the Office of the Registrar (RO) and Transfer Resource Center (TRC) is making an exception as to how paper forms that require advisor/instructor/Chair signature will be accepted by our offices.

Students should complete their portion of the form and email it to the appropriate individual/Department via their college-issued email account.  The form attachments may be a scanned document or clear photo.   Approvers should provide us with their decision by forwarding the attachment to the RO or TRC and indicating approval or denial of the request.

This exception will remain in effect until further notice.

On Sunday, March 15, in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster ordered the closure of the state’s k-12 schools and public universities for the next two weeks.  For public universities, the governor’s order means the College of Charleston’s main campus and satellite campuses are closed, at least until April 3. The College will suspend its in-person classes and move to online/distance learning from March 23 until at least April 3 (which extends the previously announced e-learning schedule by one week). 

The Transfer Resource Center will be operating remotely during this time period.  As a result, some services may be limited or unavailable.  Please contact us via email at transfercenter@cofc.edu. Currently enrolled students must use their college-issued email account (@g.cofc.edu) to communicate with the Transfer Resource Center.
